Great Is Thy Faithfulness

An American songwriter, editor, and Methodist minister (1866–1960). Chisholm suffered from poor health throughout his life, which prevented him from serving in full-time pastoral ministry for long periods. Instead of a dramatic conversion story, Chisholm wrote 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness' in 1923 to celebrate the quiet, steady, daily provision of God's mercies that sustained him through years of physical weakness and ordinary struggles.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,

There is no shadow of turning with Thee;

Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;

As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
